andrea hansen bio

Andrea Hansen was born and raised in Nebraska. There she studied photography at the University of Nebraska, gaining a BA in Photojournalism.  In 1988, she joined the  photography staff at The New London Day in Connecticut, where she worked for 10 years. In 1998, she moved to Newport, Rhode Island and launched  Andrea Hansen Photography, specializing in portrait, event, and commercial photography. Her distinguished client list includes The New York Times, USA Today,  Newport Life Magazine, Salve Regina University and Roger Williams University.

As an artist, Andrea blends her knowledge of lighting, composition and creativity to capture stunning images. From magazines to business publications to family albums, her patience and attention-to-detail results in beautiful photography.
